"The Little Mermaid"

The girls have been taking ballet lessons all year at Evergreen Dance Academy, and their recital was last weekend. Everyone had great costumes, and the performances were really fun. My sister came from Seattle, and Grandma and Great-Grandma came along, too.

Hannah, my pink flamingo, danced to "Kiss the Girl." In this picture it looks like she forgot what she was doing.

Ellie, in the center, was a rainbow fish. I loved her costume! And she's so cute in a ballet bun!

Daddy gave them flowers at the end for their great performances!

Another Favorite Family Pastime...

For some reason, the kids love to hop on the back of the truck while John drives into the garage. It makes me crazy, because I worry about them falling off and getting run over. I guess this is one reason kids have two parents: dads teach them not to be afraid of things.

No More Training Wheels!

It seems with Seth, that every new accomplishment for him signals a new stage in the life of our family. He and Daddy took off the training wheels Friday night, he practiced on his own in our street on Saturday, and by Saturday night he was ready for a family bike ride. All of our kids can ride bikes! We really enjoyed riding up the street to Wendy's together for dinner. And Seth slept REALLY well last night!

BZZZZZ!!!

Saturday night was the annual "Running of the Bees." Not really, just the 31st Annual Starlight Run. We had a great time together, and the other costumes were alternately hilarious and horrible. People have weird senses of humor. (Can we all say, "Tight red shorts are NOT a good look for anyone?")

All of the "BEES" together.

Running...who's that crazy blurred woman in front of us?

Before the start...and the sweat!

Who had the most fun? I don't think I can guess!

Seth's Cast is Off!

He had a tattoo on his arm when the cast was put on, and guess what? It was still there! Until I scrubbed him.
