"It's a Lot Like Herding Cats"

or Seth's first basketball game. 

Three other families in our ward signed their little guys up for basketball, so we decided to give it a shot.  The first game yesterday was pretty cute.  Lots of running, some dribbling, some passing, and even some baskets!  Seth is number 5 in the blue shirt.  What a great way to spend an hour on Saturday morning!

Fire Ants Suck!

I am a serial fire ant tormentor.  When I see their little mounds along the sidewalk, I like to disturb them and watch the ants frantically come pouring out to attack their attacker. 

Yesterday, when I took the kids to the pool, we had a fire ant incident.  There is an outdoor shower at the pool, so when the kids are done swimming, I put them in there to shower and wash their hair before we go home.  The stinkin' ants were in the shower!  Seth and I both got bit a few times on our feet.  I am horribly allergic, and today my bites are big blisters and my foot is swollen to about double its size.

On the way home, the girls suggested that maybe the ants were getting revenge for all the piles we have disturbed.

Here's to ten days of Benadryl.  Yeah!
