Tennis

When John and I were dating, we took a tennis class together, and he bought me a racket.  We played a few times.  After we got married, I decided NEVER to play tennis again.  I hate it.

But Hannah is now old enough to learn to play with her dad, and she loves it!  John is so excited to finally have a tennis partner, that he doesn't even ask how much the lessons are!

Two times a week, I've been taking her to lessons at a nearby park and the kids get to play on the playground while Hannah learns her new sport.

On the court....

 Seth outside the courts.

Standing in the misters, cooling off.

On the playground.

A Rough Day

Seth lost his first two teeth yesterday--at the dentist.  They put them in a plastic tooth for him to bring home for the tooth fairy.  It was a rough day because he had so much work to be done, we decided to put him to sleep--easier for him and for the dentist.  Luckily, we have a friend in our ward who is a dental anesthesiologist, and since Seth knows him, he was comfortable and had no problems.  Waking up was hard, and he cried for about an hour after we got home, but all is well.  Since the tooth fairy visited, Seth is a very happy camper today.

Ellie's Dance Recital

Since December, Ellie has been taking ballet and jazz dance lessons.  We attended her recital Tuesday night, called "As Seen on TV."  She danced to a song called "Shake It Up."

This is her really cute costume, and the other girls in her class.  Elyse, front row left, is in our ward, too.

Dancing her heart out!

All the girls together on the stage--they're still working out their precision dance moves.

The whole recital was really well done, and the dancers did a great job.  It turned out to be a nice cultural event for our family, and even John and Seth enjoyed it.

Boat Pictures

Here's some fun boat pictures--have to enjoy it now because with the drought we are having, it won't be long until the boat ramp dries up.  Unlike the rest of the country, we are praying for rain--again.  Summer in Texas--it's great at the lake or the pool!
